Painted further along Fire Creek near Lost Lake, this piece focuses on the heavier forms of fallen timber and exposed rock within the creek bed. A large log cuts through the composition, while deep shadows move across the surrounding stones and vegetation, breaking the landscape into shifting areas of light and color. The work explores the weight and structure of the creek environment, using the contrast between shadow and illuminated rock to create depth and movement.
