A second look at the Lyre River on the Northern Olympic Peninsula. This study captures the moving water and rugged basalt rocks closer to where the river flows toward the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Created while on a 2 week painting adventure in the Olympic Peninsula with my gf and her dog. This was the last painting create during the trip at a campground we had been before. Despite being a DNR spot you can camp for free, this location has dedicated bathrooms and garbage dump and on site grounds man, making it a free safe experience.
