Padilla Bay No.2

This secondary study from Padilla Bay State Park captures the rugged transition between the upland forest and the Salish Sea shoreline. Positioned along the scenic Chuckanut Drive corridor, the work focuses on the dramatic 30-foot cliff face where the Skagit Valley’s dense timber meets the tidal mudflats, highlighting the shifting light and intricate root systems unique to this coastal Washington ecosystem.

Gallery Wrapped Painted Edge

Created at Padilla Bay State Park down at the water access point. This cliff edge where the forest would join the beach is a solid 30 foot tall ledge that is supported by a number of large trees and root systems.
