Salish Overlook.

10×20 inch Acrylic and Spray Paint on Canvas

I found this spot just 20 minutes from the house—a perfect, unobstructed window into the sunset and the sound. It’s the kind of place that demands a return trip, probably with a much larger canvas in the back of the van.

Located close by—only a 20-minute drive—with an unobstructed view of the sunset and the ocean. This is a special spot I plan to paint at more often. This size is a bit too small for me, but I know it’s an attractive price point; I think going a little larger next time would be nice.

Retrospectively, I’d want to paint this subject on a larger scale, focusing on the leaves and just a small section of the tree. I try not to have personal feelings toward the work most of the time; it doesn’t help my process, and honestly, I can be pretty off on what I think people are willing to buy.
