Studio Work
Summertime in Mexico can be a challenging season, with high temperatures and humidity that can make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors. During these months, I often retreat to my studio, where I can take the time to reflect on my previous years of work and consider new directions for my art. In the summer of 2021, I focused on studying flowers, which led me to explore new techniques and eventually inspired me to embrace a new direction in my studio work. This new direction involves creating abstracted imagery that captures the movement of nature.
Pleinair work
The consistent, sunny weather in Baja often creates the perfect conditions for plein air painting
By spending time outdoors and connecting with nature, I have been able to better understand and appreciate this beautiful country, even though it is not my own. Painting in the open air allows me to fully immerse myself in the natural surroundings and really take in the beauty of the landscape.
