Craft Island 4

$600.00

Painted on mdf

Gamblin Oil Paints with a Galkyd medium.

24 x 12 inch

Painting not framed

Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.

Painted at Craft Island in Skagit Valley Washington. Possitioned right at the mouth of the Skagit River joining the Pudget Sound, this area marks an important historical context as well as being one of the few beaches in the area with sand instead of rocks. Looking North, we see Anacortes in the distances as well as the water levels rising up to overtake the swampy surroundings.

backside was a failed ish painting from little mountain
