Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.

Painted on a camping trip out to Cannon Beach with friends, I choose to stay behind at camp and paint while they went on a hike. Extreamily early in my pleinair exploration, this piece was very important in my evolution of loosening up my technique and adding some much needed energy to the painting beyond what I was strickly seeing. In a sense, this was the begining of me understanding how my style meshed with impresionism.
