$700.00

Painted on mdf

Gamblin Oil Paints with a Galkyd medium.

24.5 x 17 inch

Painting not framed

Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.

Painted at Whiley Slough near the etrance to Fir Island after exiting the I5 highway. This park is a bird sanctuary that was flooded to create a bird habitat. You will find numerous eagles, harrons and many more birds that live ontop and around the trees and wetlands. This piece was created at the end of a lengthy pathway, a favorite spot of mine as you could see people coming from a distance away. In the distance we see the foothills of the Skagit Valley and formentioned dead trees that turned a silvery white and reflect the sunset at the end of the day.
