This stunning piece of art captures the essence of the outdoors through the technique of plein air painting, created on location in the Olympic Peninsula during a two-week painting expedition.

Specifically, this masterpiece was born at Rialto Beach near the town of Forks. After exploring numerous beach locations, I was drawn to this particular spot. The giant fallen tree was of strong interest as was the numerous ground covers as the trasition of forest ended and the beach began.

For this print, I crafted the image using three close-up shots, which were then photo merged and edited in Photoshop to ensure a high level of detail and accurate representation of the original artwork.
